Ioan Gyuri Pascu - El Tango

Ioan Gyuri Pascu - El Tango

Written and Performed by Ioan Gyuri Pascu
Starring Lucile Julaud, Catinca Mandita, Cosmin Stamatoiu & Cristian Dumitru from Tango Tangent (www.milonga.ro)
Violin: Cristi Horia
Video: DianaDi
Album: Electromagnetic Love – 2013

The lyrics:
I) It is more than a dance, it is a scent,
Of pure joy and pure pain
almost reckless insanity
That troubles the heart.
So deeply unknown, yet, everybody knows it,
It shows us that life’s love.

R: Tango, what a scent!
Felt in everything one loves.
hummed, danced, tasted,
Wept, and laughed by every soul.
Tango, what a scent!
Felt in everything one loves.
In the air you breathe,
In the burning lips
You’d never stop kissing.

They say tango is the mirror-dance
When you gaze at your dance partner
You see nothing but yourself.
They say tango is the dance of love
‘Cause when you tango
Two, one, none - is the same.

A naked word by the sea-shore,
Forgetting shame while learning love
No talk.An innocent glance instead
Is all you need to enjoy.
Everything lives in the tango
Like water lives in flowers,
And shows us that life’s love.

Johnny Cash - Hurt

A wonderful performance of Johnny Cash, maybe the last before he died in 2003.
The video for the song is generally recognized as "his epitaph".
The lyrics:
I hurt myself today
To see if I still feel
I focus on the pain
The only thing that's real

The needle tears a hole
The old familiar sting
Try to kill it all away
But I remember everything

[Chorus]
What have I become
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know
Goes away in the end

And you could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt

I wear this crown of thorns
Upon my liars chair
Full of broken thoughts
I cannot repair

Beneath the stains of time
The feelings disappear
You are someone else
I am still right here

[Chorus]

And you could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt

If I could start again
A million miles away
I will keep myself
I would find a way

Video hit Beth Hart

Beth Hart - Better Man

Beth Hart (born January 24, 1972) is an American singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, California, United States.
She rose to fame with the release of her 1999 single "LA Song (Out of This Town)" from her second album Screamin' for My Supper. The single was a number one hit in New Zealand, as well as reaching top 5 on the US Adult Contemporary and number 7 on the Billboard Adult Top 40 Chart. The song also aired during Episode 17 of the 10th and final season of Beverly Hills, 90210.
Beth Hart also delivered music to the end-scene of the last episode of Californication season 6, with "My California", Subsequent albums namely Seesaw and Live In Amsterdam by Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa, achieved number 1 status on the Billboard Blues Album Chart.
Hart's release Bang Bang Boom Boom rose to number 3 on the Billboard Blues Album Chart, as well as the album Don't Explain by Hart and Bonamassa. The album Seesaw rose to number 8 on the Billboard Top Independent Album Chart. Hart has had two number 1 singles in Denmark "As Good As It Gets" and "Learning To Live", as well a platinum selling album, Leave The Light On.
Hart's first album with Bonamassa, Don't Explain, went gold in The Netherlands. In 2014 Hart was nominated for a Grammy Award for Seesaw and she was also nominated for a Blues Music Award in the category 'Best Contemporary Blues Female Artist'.
"I wrote 'Better Man' for my husband Scott," Hart says. "Scott is the greatest happiness I've ever known because I know in my guts that he really loves me. He's saved by soul, my insides, he took me in and loved me long enough for me to love myself. He made me fall in love with living. He's my husband. He's my home. He's a fucking miracle”.
The lyrrics:
He got me feeling so fine
He taught the sun how to shine
He turns my water to wine
He do it every time
Ain't nothing better than that
I let him play with my cat
Got nothing on but his hat
Ain't nothing wrong with that

All that I want him to know
That I want him to know
Is that I love him so
He's better than I ever had
More than I can stand

I found me a better man, better man
Who loves better than, better than
Better than you ever can
Don't want no animal
Acting so out of control
I found me a better man
He grease my pan
Better than you can

He's no complicated man
He's happy holding my hand
He likes to swim in my tub
I like his rub'a'dub
He's never stolen my car
Or tried to pawn my guitar
He doesn't flirt with my friends
My money he don't spend

All that I want him to know
That I want him to know
Is that I love him so
He's better than I ever had
More than I can stand

I found me a better man, better man
Who loves better than, better than
Better than you ever can
Don't want no animal
Acting so out of control
I found me a better man
He grease my pan
Better than you can

Love and happiness I have received
Love has surely been so good to me
I finally found myself a piece of sky

I found me a better man, better man
Who loves better than, better than
Better than you ever can

I found me a better man, better man
Who loves better than, better than
Better than you ever can
Don't want no animal
Acting so out of control
I found me a better man

I found me a better man
Who loves better than
Better than you ever can
He grease my pan
Better than you can

Video hit Yasmin Levy

Yasmin Levy - Una Noche Mas

A debutat discografic in 2000, obtinand de la inceput recunoasteri in show-bizz. A fost promovata si de fundatia Anna Lindh pentru realizarile in maniera crossing, pe care artista o considera o "reconciliere muzicala a istoriei'.

Yasmin Levy (born on December 23, 1975 in Jerusalem) is an Israeli singer-songwriter of Judeo-Spanish music.
Levy is of Sephardic descent from the city of Izmir, Turkey.
Her late father, Yitzhak (Isaac) Levy (1919–1977), was a composer and hazzan (cantor), as well as a pioneer researcher into the long and rich history of the Ladino music and culture of Spanish Jewry and its diaspora, being the editor of the Ladino language magazine Aki Yerushalayim.
With her distinctive and emotive style, Levy has brought a new interpretation to the medieval Judeo-Spanish (Ladino) song by incorporating more "modern" sounds of Andalusian flamenco and Persian, as well as combining instruments like the darbuka, oud, violin, cello, and piano.
Her debut album was Romance & Yasmin in 2000, which earned her a nomination as "Best Newcomer" for the fRoots / BBC Radio 3 World Music Awards 2005, followed in 2005 with her second album La Juderia (Spanish: The Jewish Quarter). In 2006, she was nominated again, then in the category "Culture Crossing".
On her second album, La Judería, she also covered the popular songs "Gracias a la Vida" by Violeta Parra and "Nací en Alamó" from the film Vengo, directed by Tony Gatlif, which in its original version won the 2001 César Award for Best Music Written for a Film (itself being a cover of "The Song of the Gypsies" (Greek: "Το Τραγούδι των Γύφτων"), written by Greek songwriter Dionysis Tsaknis in 1990).
Levy's work earned her the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation Award for promoting cross-cultural dialogue between musicians from three cultures. In her own words: “I am proud to combine the two cultures of Ladino and flamenco, while mixing in Middle Eastern influences. I am embarking on a 500 years old musical journey, taking Ladino to Andalusia and mixing it with flamenco, the style that still bears the musical memories of the old Moorish and Jewish-Spanish world with the sound of the Arab world. In a way it is a ‘musical reconciliation’ of history”.
Levy is a goodwill ambassador for the charity Children of Peace.

The lyrics:
Recuerdo tu imagen alejándose
La tierra se hundía bajo mis pies
Fui cayéndome al vacío
Sin poderme agarrar a la vida

¿Cómo pude imaginarme
Que tenía algo que darte?
Y yo en mi madurez y tú
En tu plena juventud
Los años no perdonan

Sólo te ruego que me des
Una noche de amor
Sólo pido una noche más
Que me vuelvas a engañar

Te maldigo para que no puedas llorar
Que tu corazón se vuelva una piedra
Que tu alma pierda su alegría
A la vez que mi cuerpo envejece

Sólo te ruego que me des
Una noche de amor
Sólo pido una noche más
Que me vuelvas a engañar
