Video hit Billy Ray Cyrus

Billy Ray Cyrus - Change My Mind

Change My Mind is country singer Billy Ray Cyrus's thirteenth studio album and first on Blue Cadillac Music. It was released on October 23, 2012.
The album includes a re-recording of "I'm So Miserable", a cut from Cyrus' 1992 debut Some Gave All.
Co-producing the album with Brandon Friesen, Billy Ray wrote seven of the album’s 10 songs himself without outside influence. He’s also releasing the record on his own Blue Cadillac Music, a label he created with Friesen to launch the project. These decisions offer an idea about the amount of creative control Billy Ray has on Change My Mind, and the result is felt immediately in the urgency and ruggedness of the overall sound.
The album opener and lead-single “Change My Mind” draws its power from heavy guitars and thundering percussion as Billy Ray acknowledges the demons, singing, I’ve been talking to myself, low down in the mix. It’s more aggressive than anything he has ever released and the delivery comes off as more of a growl, stirring up images of clenched teeth. The first half of the album follows suit with some serious muscle as songs like “Once Again” and “Hillbilly Heart” revel in distortion and rock-oriented grooves. However, the sound stays just this side of Led Zeppelin as an incendiary fiddle screams on the former tune through standard country lyrics like, I feel my heart break once again. On “Hillbilly Heart,” a thick, swampy stomp rings loud as Billy Ray defends the musical direction, singing out, Lord, I love the guitar / Love to hear it loud / If you don’t like what you hear you should leave this crowd, with a laid-back drawl.
The lyrics:
I've been talkin' to myself
Thinkin' 'bout changing my mind
I've been talkin' to myself
Thought I put your memory high upon a shelf

Well, you know I said I'd forget you
You go away in time

But lately I've been thinking
And I'm thinkin' 'bout changing my mind
Change my mind, you, hoo, hoo
Change my mind, change my mind, woho-hoo

Well, I said I love you and then I said goodbye
I know I made you hapy and then I made you cry
If I promised you forever, then I told you a lie

But lately I've been thinkin'
And I'm thinkin' 'bout changing my mind
Change my mind, you, hoo, hoo
Change my mind, change my mind, woho-hoo
Change my mind

Thinkin' 'bout changing my mind
I've been talkin' to myself
Thought I put your memory high upon a shelf

Well, you know I said I'd forget you
You go away in time

But lately I've been thinking
And I'm thinkin' 'bout changing my mind
Change my mind, you, hoo, hoo
Change my mind, change my mind, woho-hoo

Oh, I'll change my mind

Video hit NAS

Nas - Bye Baby

Going through a divorce is difficult enough to do privately, but Nas is brave enough to share his heartache in his new video for “Bye Baby”, the new single off his chart-topping album Life Is Good.
In the preview for the clip, the rapper reflects on his failed relationship with Kelis, whom he married in 2005 and divorced in 2009.
As he hesitates to sign the divorce papers, Nas takes a fond look back at their wedding video, and sadly soaks in the sight of her green wedding dress (as seen on the album cover), reportedly the only thing she left in the house they shared together when she left for good. Sad, but compelling.
The lyrics:
I guess you knew and blew a good thing, baby

[Verse 1:]
Bye baby, I guess you know why I walked away
When we walked to the altar that was an awesome day
Did counselling, couldn't force me to stay
Something happens when you say I do, we go astray
Why do we mess it up, we was friends we had it all
Reason you don't trust men, that was your daddy fault
He in the grave, let it go, he no longer living
Said you caught him cheating with mom and other women
Fuck that gotta do with us
Here's the keys to the newest truck
Birkin bags, we burnin' cash, now baby do it up
No matter who you fuck, that was before me
Wanted you as my shawty since I saw you screamin'
"Hate you so much right now"
Should've saw the man in angry black women
Ashes of a demon, I'm leaving

[Hook:]
I guess you knew and blew a good thing, baby (Bye baby)
You know I'm saying bye-bye (Bye-bye baby)
Cause I'm sayin' bye-bye (Bye baby)
Cause I'm sayin' bye-bye
I guess you knew and blew a good thing, baby

[Verse 2:]
Bye baby, I guess you know why I had to leave
Seven months in your pregnancy, 'bout to have my seed
Let's take it back some years, rewind it to the happy years
You and your Star Trak fam, I'm thinking you cats are weird
Same time, different year, I was diggin' ya flow
Then I tatted you on my arm so niggas would know
I thought no one could stop us, matching gold watches
I was your Johnny Depp, you was my Janis Joplin
Yet, the cuter version, yet I knew you personally
Better than you knew yourself and I knew this for certain
Crib in the Dominican you got away from everybody
You screaming at the racist cops in Miami was probably
The highlight of my life, like "Hi yo look at my wife"
Gangsta, me and twenty cops 'bout to fight, crazy night
Bailed you out, next morning we got clean
Like it never happened and later we at that Heat game
Just another day in the life of two people in love
But it wasn't enough, so baby guess what

[Hook]

[Verse 3:]
Listen, could you imagine writing your deposition?
Divorce Lawyer telling you how this thing gonna be ending?
With you paying out the ass, and I'm talking half
Not some but half. No serious, half
Half of your soul, half of your heart you leaving behind
It's either that or die, I wanted peace of mind
And all I seen was selfish cowards, under they breath
Saying "why did Nas trust her? ", but look at yourself, speak louder bruh
You live with your babymoms and scared to make an honest woman out of her
And make her your bride, fake bitch you ain't even a lie
At least I can say I tried plus enjoyed the ride
Plus we got our little boy, my little joy and pride
He got my nose, my grill, your colour, your eyes
Next go round I hope I pick the truest type and watch me do it all again
It's a beautiful life, aight

Goodbye

Video hit Casting Crowns

Casting Crowns - Broken Together

Casting Crowns reflects on the mysteries of marriage in the somber Broken Together.
The track appears on the group's forthcoming album Thrive.
Broken Together was inspired after several conversations I had with friends on relationships," says frontman Mark Hall, who wrote the song.
"Marriage is tough, and it got me thinking about how we bring a lot of fairy tales to the picture when it comes to marriage. We think, 'This is going to be perfect. We're not going to have any problems.' And then the problems hit and you don't know where to file those into your picture."
Hall says he views the song as a reminder that people in hurting marriages can still have hope. "We are all broken people, but when we make the choice to meet each other where we are, God's love can make something beautiful out of our brokenness."
The lyrics:
What do you think about when you look at me
I know we're not the fairy tale you dreamed we'd be
You wore the veil, you walked the aisle, you took my hand
And we dove into a mystery

How I wish we could go back to simpler times
Before all our scars and all our secrets were in the light
Now on this hallowed ground, we've drawn the battle lines
Will we make it through the night?

It's going to take much more than promises this time
Only God can change our minds

Maybe you and I were never meant to be complete
Could we just be broken together
If you can bring your shattered dreams and I'll bring mine
Could healing still be spoken and save us
The only way we'll last forever is broken together

How it must have been so lonely by my side
We were building kingdoms and chasing dreams and left love behind
I'm praying God will help our broken hearts align
And we won't give up the fight

It's going to take much more than promises this time
Only God can change our minds

Maybe you and I were never meant to be complete
Could we just be broken together
If you can bring your shattered dreams and I'll bring mine
Could healing still be spoken and save us
The only way we'll last forever is broken together

Maybe you and I were never meant to be complete
Could we just be broken together
If you can bring your shattered dreams and I'll bring mine
Could healing still be spoken and save us

The only way we'll last forever is broken together

Video hit Bruce Springsteen

Bruce Springsteen - Brilliant Disguise

Brilliant Disguise is a song by Bruce Springsteen from his 1987 album Tunnel of Love.
It was released as the first single from the album, reaching the #5 position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and #1 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart in the United States.
Like much of the Tunnel of Love album, "Brilliant Disguise" was recorded in Springsteen's home studio, called Thrill Hill East, between January and May 1987 with several members of the E Street Band.
On this song, Springsteen played several instruments and is backed by Roy Bittan on keyboards, Danny Federici on organ and Max Weinberg on drums.
The lyrics of "Brilliant Disguise" represent a confession of self-doubt on the part of the singer. The emotions expressed in the song include confusion, jealousy and anxiety about whether the singer's wife has become a stranger to him.
The song deals with the masks people wear and the bitterness that can ensue when we realize the darkness that may lie behind those masks.
The song's quiet power builds slowly. The sound is scaled back from the typical E Street Band sound.
The singer struggles to do things right, but it doesn't help. He can't trust either himself or his wife.
Both he and his wife continue to play their roles - he of a "faithful man", she of a "loving woman", but the singer is nonetheless wracked with self-doubt. A key line towards the end of the song: "I wanna know if it's you I don't trust/Because I damn sure don't trust myself. Somes up the emotions that resonate throughout the song, and indeed the entire second side of the Tunnel of Love album.
Springsteen himself wrote about the song "after '85 I'd had enough and turned inward to write about men, women and love, things that have previously been on the periphery of my work." The song was later released on the compilation album The Essential Bruce Springsteen.
"Brilliant Disguise" has been ranked as the #1192 best song of all time, as well as the #27 song of 1987 and the #214 song of the 1980s, in an aggregation of critics' lists at acclaimedmusic.net.
The song has also been listed as one of the all time great songs in Toby Creswell's "1001 songs" and as one of the 7500 most important songs from 1944 through 2000 by Bruce Pollock.
It was also ranked as the #6 single of 1987 by the Village Voice and the #51 single of 1987 by the New Musical Express.
The video of the song, shot in black and white, effectively reflects its emotions.
The singer sits uncomfortably on the edge of a chair.
He plays his guitar as he sings the lyrics about what it means to try to trust someone looking straight into the camera, never flinching. This very personal performance can make it difficult to watch, but it effectively reflects the themes of the song.
The lyrics:
I hold you in my arms
as the band plays
What are those words whispered baby
just as you turn away
I saw you last night
out on the edge of town
I wanna read your mind
To know just what I've got in this new thing I've found
So tell me what I see
when I look in your eyes
Is that you baby
or just a brilliant disguise

I heard somebody call your name
from underneath our willow
I saw something tucked in shame
underneath your pillow
Well I've tried so hard baby
but I just can't see
What a woman like you
is doing with me
So tell me who I see
when I look in your eyes
Is that you baby
or just a brilliant disguise

Now look at me baby
struggling to do everything right
And then it all falls apart
when out go the lights
I'm just a lonely pilgrim
I walk this world in wealth
I want to know if it's you I don't trust
'cause I damn sure don't trust myself

Now you play the loving woman
I'll play the faithful man
But just don't look too close
into the palm of my hand
We stood at the alter
the gypsy swore our future was right
But come the wee wee hours
Well maybe baby the gypsy lied
So when you look at me
you better look hard and look twice
Is that me baby
or just a brilliant disguise

Tonight our bed is cold
I'm lost in the darkness of our love
God have mercy on the man

Who doubts what he's sure of

Tesla - Breakin Free

On August 11, 2008, it was reported that Tesla's next album, entitled Forever More, would be released on October 7 on their own record label, Tesla Electric Company Recordings.
The album was produced by Terry Thomas, who produced Bust a Nut.
The band aired the album's first single, "I Wanna Live" on radio stations across the globe on August 18 and kicked off a world tour on October 1.
Forever More debuted No. 33 on The Billboard 200 chart and spawned singles I Wanna Live, Fallin' Apart & Breakin' Free.
In describing the vibe of the new album, he continues, "'Forever More' demonstrates this idea of writing songs in a diverse fashion. The title track is one of our deeper cuts complete with heavy lyrics, de-tuned riffs and acoustic interludes, while 'I Wanna Live' is one of our more uplifting songs that bounces musically and delivers a lyrical message that suggests living life to the fullest."
The rest of the album takes a similar ride of dynamic ups and downs with songs like "So What!", "Fallin' Apart", "Breakin' Free", "The Game", "All Of Me" and "The First Time".
All the tracks on "Forever More" offer a variety of emotions where each song has its own twist — not sounding like another. "Forever More" was written and recorded during a period of high energy and bizarre life circumstances for each of TESLA's band members, with those experiences coming full circle throughout the CD.
The lyrics:
I've had all I can take, the lyin' to my face
I'm tired of the abuse, all the excuses that you've made
Therell be no compromise, I finally realized
It's time to cut the noose, I'm bustin' loose and start livin' my life....

I don't care what you say
Ya better get out of my way
I'm tired of wastin' my time,
Now I'm breakin' free....

I always knew the day would come
Where everythings comin' undone
Now I've made up my mind, I'm breakin free.....

I'm done with swallowing my pride
And the truth bein' denied
You know it makes me sick how youre so quick to always criticize
You never find fault in yourself
You're always blamin' someone else
When you know that it's you, and its true, that with you,
it's just a livin hell....

I don't care what you say
Ya better get out of my way
I'm tired of wastin' my time,
Now I'm breakin' free...

I always knew the day would come
Where everythings coming undone
Now I've made up my mind, I'm breakin' free....

Every time I start feelin' down,
I know it's time that I turned this around,
Every time I start thinkin' what went wrong
I can't believe that it went so bad,
All the time that you drove me mad
I can't believe that I stayed with you so long.....

[I don't care what you say
Ya better get out of my way
I'm tired of wastin' my time,
Now I'm breakin' free...

I always knew the day would come
Where everythings coming undone

Now I've made up my mind, I'm breakin' free....

Video hit Gretchen Peters

Gretchen Peters - Breakfast At Our House (live)

Statistics show that almost 50% of marriages in the United States end in divorce.
As anyone who's been through it, or who knows anyone who's been through it, divorce is an ugly thing. Getting through one will strain the bounds of the human ability to cope.
Sometimes, coping with the seas that rage beneath the surface of a doomed marriage result in a situation that singer/songwriter Gretchen Peters describes as becoming "almost polite" with one another.
It's the gradual, subtle shutting down of emotions stemming from the death of communication where "there's too much anger, too much water under the bridge, too much pain" for the marriage to recover. She's been there. "I think the problem is that, if you're separating a relationship, usually one party gets to the realization first," says Peters.
"It's not usually arrived at simultaneously. I think the other thing I was really trying to get across in this song... there comes this point when you almost start to be polite with each other, because the situation is so strained and so strange. So you don't even have the intimacy left to fight. And that point I really wanted to try and get across. Because having been in the situation, I just thought, wow, this is so weird. You get to where you've lost so much intimacy that you even feel that sort of weird, distant kind of politeness."
Having experienced the struggle that sometimes accompanies songwriting, Peters says this song happened the other way around. It came on like a sudden storm. "It wasn't calculated. Actually, that song was one that really poured out, basically, in one sitting. It wasn't as though I sat down and thought, Hmmm, well, this is what I'm going to try to convey here. I mean, it just kind of came out. You know, one of those."
The lyrics:
this is how it is
no dramatic scenes
you read your morning paper
i read my magazine
happy weatherman
says we need the rain
but i don’t know what he’s thinking
it’s been coming down for days
and this brew is just too bitter
too strong for me to drink
gonna pour it down the drain right now
right down the kitchen sink
cold coffee in my cup
you turn the tv up
breakfast at our house
and this is how it is
and it’s no easy trick
we can promise what we want to
but we can’t make it stick
half a life ago
with this ring we wed
and now we’re sittin’ at this table
with the things we never said
but to come right out and say ‘em
would be rude and out of place
so I’ll keep it to myself I guess
but it’s written all across your face
burnt toast and offerings
that’s what the morning brings
breakfast at our house
so here’s to all the young boys, to all the fair haired girls
who ran away on honeymoons, who married in a whirl
whose pretty bed of roses feels like a bed of coals
who sit at breakfast tables and stare into their bowls
who had their dreams of love, but now they’re waking up
breakfast at our house
cold coffee in my cup, you turn the tv up

breakfast at our house

Video hit Biffy Clyro

Biffy Clyro - Black Chandelier

Black Chandelier is a song by Scottish alternative rock band Biffy Clyro.
The track was first released in the United Kingdom on 14 January 2013 as the lead single from the band's sixth studio album, Opposites (2013).
The track received its first play on 19 November 2012, having been selected as BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe's Hottest Record in the World.
The lyrics:
I shouldnt laugh, but I know Im a failure in your eyes
I know its daft, but I guess I know it deep inside
It feels like were ready to crack these days, you and I
When its just the two of us, only the two of us, I could die

You left my heart like an abandoned car
Old and worn and no use at all
But I used to be free
We're gonna separate ourselves tonight
We're always running scared but holding knives
But theres a black chandelier
It's casting shadows and lies

Drip, drip, drip

I'd sit in silence for the rest of my life if you'd like
Dressing our wounds with industrial gloves made of wire
Feel it penetrating the skin, we begin to relax
When its just the two of us, and a cute little cup of cyanide

You left my heart like an abandoned car
Old and worn and no use at all
But I used to be free

Were gonna separate ourselves tonight
Were always running scared but holding knives
But theres a black chandelier
Its casting shadows and lies
Were gonna separate ourselves tonight
Were always running scared but holding knives
But theres a black chandelier

You left my heart like an abandoned car
Old and worn and no use at all
But I used to be free

We're gonna separate ourselves tonight
We're always running scared but holding knives
But theres a black chandelier
It's casting shadows and lies
Were gonna separate ourselves tonight
Were always running scared but holding knives
But theres a black chandelier

It's casting shadows and lies

Video hit Papa Roach

Papa Roach - Before I Die

Before I Die is a song by American rock band Papa Roach released as the third single from their seventh studio album "The Connection".
Music Video
In the video the singer Jacoby Shaddix revived its moments earlier that nearly led to suicide, portraying addiction beverages indecision.
Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix planned to commit suicide, for he can not deal with alcoholism and marriage problems. Shaddix said "Suicide is the most selfish act. So I decided I had to endure the pain I was experiencing and fucking write a song instead."
The lyrics:
Im out here on my own
Im giving it a go alone
Im begging on my knees
Is there a God to save me ?

Ive been a wretched soul
From my heart down to my toes
I was lost in my disease
And you were right there screaming

"Dont change when its too late"

Maybe I said the right things wrong
My one last shot was too far gone
But if I can I swear that I
Will live for you before I die

Maybe I pushed you way too far
To pull you back from where you are
But if I can I swear that I
Will live for you before I die

From the valley of the dead
Im hearing every word you said
Im trying to apologize
But I cant feel my feelings

Are you giving us some room to grow ?
Or digging us a deeper hole ?
You're killing any shred of hope
For us to believe in

"Dont change when its too late"

Maybe I said the right things wrong
My one last shot was too far gone
But if I can I swear that I
Will live for you before I die

Maybe I pushed you way too far
To pull you back from where you are
But if I can I swear that I
Will live for you before I die

I'm out here on my own
Im sick of being here alone
I know where I belong
But I cant find my way home

Find my way home...
Find my way home...
Find my way home...
Find my way !

Maybe I said the right things wrong
My one last shot was too far gone
But if I can I swear that I
Will live for you before I die

Maybe I pushed you way too far
To pull you back from where you are
But if I can I swear that I
Will live for you before I die

Will live for you before I die

I will live for you before I die

It was written by Clarkson along with its producers David Hodges and Ben Moody. It was released on August 16, 2005 by RCA Records, as the third single from Breakaway.
Clarkson originally wrote "Because of You" when she was 16 years old to cope with the emotional distress caused by her parents' divorce.
Lyrically, "Because of You" explores the pain of a deteriorating relationship. Critics noted that the lyrics are Clarkson's ode to her father.
The song begins with a piano-led melody and as it launches into the chorus, the sound of a roaring guitar becomes apparent.
Critically, "Because of You" garnered positive reviews by music critics, who praised its expressive lyrics, creative arrangement and Clarkson's vocal prowess. It became Clarkson's most successful single around the world; in the United States, it peaked at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 and sold over 1.5 million digital downloads.
It was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Internationally, "Because of You" topped the charts in the Netherlands, Denmark and Switzerland as well as reaching the top ten in Australia, Austria, Canada, Germany, Belgium, Hungary, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.
The song's accompanying music video was directed by Vadim Perelman.
Clarkson wrote the treatment for the video herself in order to reflect the pain that she felt due to her parents' divorce.
The video's plot centers on Clarkson engaging in a heated argument with her husband in front of her child before realizing that she was repeating her parents' mistake. It won in the category for Best Female Video at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards. "Because of You" was performed live at numerous venues, including the My December Tour (2007) as well as the All I Ever Wanted Tour (2009).
It was covered by several artists including Ronan Parke, who is a runner-up in the fifth series of Britain's Got Talent.
In 2007, the song was recorded by Reba McEntire as a duet with Clarkson, which was released as a lead single for McEntire's album Reba: Duets.
The lyrics:
I will not make
The same mistakes that you did
I will not let myself
'Cause my heart so much misery
I will not break
The way you did, you fell so hard
I've learned the hard way
To never let it get that far

Because of you
I never strayed too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side
So I don't get hurt
Because of you
I find it hard to trust
Not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you, I am afraid

I lose my way
And it's not too long before you point it out
I cannot cry
Because I know that's weakness in your eyes
I'm forced to fake
A smile, a laugh, every day of my life
My heart can't possibly break
When it wasn't even whole to start with

Because of you
I never strayed too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side
So I don't get hurt
Because of you
I find it hard to trust
Not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you, I am afraid

I watched you die, I heard you cry
Every night in your sleep
I was so young, you should have known
Better than to lean on me
You never thought of anyone else
You just saw your pain
And now I cry, in the middle of the night
for the same damn thing

Because of you
I never strayed too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side
So I don't get hurt
Because of you
I find it hard to trust
Not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you, I am afraid
Because of you
I tried my hardest just to forget everything
Because of you
I don't know how to let anyone else in
Because of you
I'm ashamed of my life because it's empty
Because of you, I am afraid

Because of you
oh oh oh
Because of you

oh oh oh.

Video hit Grand Funk Railroad

Grand Funk Railroad - Bad Time

Grand Funk Railroad began as an underground favorite on FM radio in 1969 with the song "Paranoid."
No one knew the top 40 hit maker the band would become starting with "Closer To Home" in 1970.
Of all their hit singles, this one ... their last major hit ... strikes a nerve more than any other. It is a gut wrenching and exhilarating foray into a love lost and found at the wrong time.
"Bad Time" is a song written by Mark Farner and performed by Grand Funk.
The song reached #4 on the Billboard chart in 1975.
The song appeared on the band's 1974 album, All the Girls in the World Beware!!!.
It's about a man who meets the girl of his dreams, but does so at an awkward time in his life, meaning he may have to let her go.
The song was produced by Jimmy Ienner and arranged by Tony Camillo.
Other Versions
The Jayhawks released a version of the song on their 1995 album, Tomorrow the Green Grass. The song went to #40 on the UK Singles Chart.
Guns N' Roses played the song on their Use Your Illusion Tour in the early 90's.
The lyrics:
I'm in love with the girl that I'm talking about
I'm in love with the girl I can't live without
I'm in love but I sure picked a bad time
To be in love
To be in love

Well, let her be somebody else's queen
I don't want to know about it
There's too many others that know what I mean
And that's why I got to live without it

I'm in love with the girl I'm talking about
I'm in love with the girl I can't live without
I'm in love but I feel like I'm wearin' it out
I'm in love but I must have picked a bad time to be in love
A bad time to be in love
A bad time to be in love
A bad time to be in love

All the stories coming back to me
From my friends and the people I don't want to see
The things they say I know just couldn't be true
At least not until I hear it from you

'Cause I still love the little girl I'm talking about
I'm in love with the girl I can't live without
I'm in love but I feel like I'm wearin' it out
I'm in love but I must have picked a bad time to be in love
A bad time to be in love
A bad time to be in love
A bad time to be in love

You know that I love the little girl I'm talking about
I'm in love with the girl I can't live without
I'm in love but it feels like I'm wearin' it out
I'm in love but I must have picked a bad time to be in love
A bad time to be in love
A bad time to be in love

A bad time to be in love

The lyrics:
All the years I've gone through my life
Taking the fall just to make it alright
A time and place, never could erase
The day we met

You can't make me stay
I wouldn't anyway
'Cause it don't feel right
When it's said and done
You can't hold on to the light
If it don't feel right

Yeah, I'm OK, but I'm not the same
And I take it in stride
There's no way to lose, with pictures to prove
The lives we made

You didn't take a stand
You didn't hold my hand
You should have held on tight
When it's said and done
She's gonna run through the dead of night
If it don't feel right

Crimson pair, we could make 'em stare
Oh, but I slipped right down
I saw his face, all time erased
But that don't make it right

You've got a thousand lines
You're going overtime
Just to change my mind
With so much to prove
Babe you're on the move... it's a million miles

When it don't feel right

Video hit Bruce Robison

Bruce Robison - Angry All The Time
Bruce Robison insists that he was not agitated, bitter or even slightly cross when he wrote Angry All The Time.
Instead, the Texas-based singer/songwriter admits that his mood was more reflective than enraged.

The idea took shape as he thought of his divorced parents.
"Their divorce was maybe the most formative event of my childhood," Bruce explains. "I can remember thinking to myself, 'Why does everyone have to be so angry all the time?' But the song is not about that particular situation. What I always try to do is paint a picture that people will relate to from their own experience."

And the picture developed quickly. "When I sat down to write one day a few years ago, I started with a little melody I had in my mind," he recalls. "The song ended up being about a marriage breakup. It only took me about a half-hour to write it, once I had the framework."

Bruce recorded "Angry All The Time" for his 1996 self-titled debut album, as well as 1998's Wrapped, featuring his wife, Kelly Willis, on backing vocals. It caught on in alt-country circles in Austin, where Bruce has for years been a club fixture.
But when it captured the attention of Faith Hill, the doors to national success flew open.

Faith happened to be watching TV one evening when Bruce and Kelly's "Angry All The Time" video came on. She loved the tune and recommended it to husband Tim McGraw. Bruce, however, had no knowledge of this life-changing chain of events.

"Suddenly, I get a call in the middle of the night saying that Tim had recorded the song," he says, shaking his head in amazement. "I had no idea he was even looking at it. That's very unusual, because normally a song goes through different channels, and you know when an artist wants it months in advance."

Tim added backing vocals by Faith for the single, which climbed into the Top 5. "Her harmony is just heartbreaking," raves Bruce, who has just released his CD Country Sunshine. "I think they both did a wonderful job.

"A sad song like this might be a departure for them," Bruce continues, "but it's certainly not a departure for country music. I'm very gratified about what's happened with this song."
The lyrics:
Here we are
What is left of a husband and a wife
Four good kids
Who have a way, of getting on with their lives
I’m not old
But I’m gettin’ a whole lot older everyday
It’s too late to keep
From goin’ crazy I’ve got to get away

C H O R U S :
The reasons that I can’t stay
Don’t have a thing to do with being in love
And I understand that lovin’ a man
Shouldn’t have to be this rough
You ain’t the only one
Who feels like this world left you far behind
I don’t know why you gotta be
Angry all the time

Our boys are strong
A spittin’ image of you when you were young
I hope someday
They can see past, what you have become And I remember
Every time I said I’d never leave
What I can’t live with
Is memories of the way you used to be

C H O R U S :

Twenty years
Have came and went since I walked out of your door
I never quite
Made it back to the one I was before
And God it hurts me
To think of you For the light in your eyes was gone
Sometimes I don’t know why
This old world can’t leave well enough alone

C H O R U S :

I don’t know why you gotta be

Angry all the time
