Video hit Urge Overkill

Urge Overkill -Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon

Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon is a song written by Neil Diamond, whose recording of it on Bang Records reached #10 on the U.S. pop singles chart in 1967.
The song enjoyed a second life when it appeared on the 1994 Pulp Fiction soundtrack, performed by rock band Urge Overkill. Other versions have been recorded by Cliff Richard (1968), Gary Puckett and the Union Gap (1969), the Biddu Orchestra (1978), and 16 Volt (1998).
In 1992, Urge Overkill recorded their own version of the song for the EP Stull.
Quentin Tarantino came across it on the EP in a Dutch record store and liked it so much that he worked it into a scene in his film Pulp Fiction in 1994. This cover achieved success in several European countries, peaking at #10 in France.
The lyrics:
Love you so much, can't count all the ways
I'd die for you girl, and all they can say is
"He's not your kind"

They never get tired of puttin' me down
And I never know when I come around
What I'm gonna find
Don't let them make up your mind
Don't you know

Girl, you'll be a woman soon
Please come take my hand
Girl, you'll be a woman soon
Soon you'll need a man

I've been misunderstood for all of my life
But what they're sayin', girl, just cuts like a knife
"The boy's no good"

Well, I finally found what I've been looking for
But if they get the chance, they'll end it for sure
Sure they would
Baby, I've done all I could
It's up to you

Girl, you'll be a woman soon
Please come take my hand
Girl, you'll be a woman soon
Soon you'll need a man
